Favourite TV shows of January.

Hello everybody I did not know what to post today so thought I would tell you all about my favourite songs and TV shows at the moment here in England.  Some of the shows I will mention will have probably been shown in America and a few other countries however they have only been shown over here now.

As you can see I range from watching reality to drama and comedy.  I absolutely love these shows at the moment and spend all my time watching them.  I tend to record all of them as my student nursing takes a lot of time but when I am home I kick back and relax and watch all my recorded episodes which take a while :) They definitely keep me relaxed and laughing.

New Kittens

Hello everybody thought I would do a quick little post on what is happening with us at the moment.

We have decided to Adopt two adorable kittens from the Cats Protection, here in Plymouth, they are a boy and a girl who are currently called Alfie and Bea.  We will change their names when they are settled as my parents have two cats with exactly the same name (COINCIDENCE).  They are both brother and sister, unfortunately them and their mum were involved in domestic violence so they were taken to cats protection for rehoming.  

We have met them tonight for a first visit and hope to have them next week, they are between 5/6 months old so they are not tiny tiny like usual but about half the size of a fully grown cat.

Bea:  She is an adorable little girl, very loving and not shy at all, as soon as we went to the pen she was all over us for kisses and strokes, purring away.  She is a lovely tortoise shell colour, but darker shades (black, coffee, white, cream).  She is the smallest out the two but so adorable.

Alfie: He is a lovely black kitten.  He is very shy so we did not get to stroke him or see him as much as Bea, he preferred to watch us from a distance or try to escape LOL.  However he is perfect and I cannot wait to see him come out of himself more and feel at home with myself and my boyfriend.

We are going to call Alfie- Gizmo and Bea - Lilly.

I hope you are looking forward to seeing them as much as we are to have them home.

Herbalife

If any of you follow me on social media you would have seen me talk about trying this new shake diet by Herbalife.

I have just completed the three day trial which was good, I did stay the same weight however, but I did lose inches around my waist, bum, and thigh which I am really happy about.

I would definitely recommend you all try this, what I was told to to by my distributor was have two shakes a day, I had one for breakfast and the other for lunch and then had a really healthy evening meal.

If you want this you better have loads of milk per each shake you need 250ml of milk for the starter pack.  My starter pack was just Vanilla.

I am buying the pots now to start as I have noticed a difference in 3 days:

- feeling fuller for longer.

- Not snacking.

- eating less.

- Not feeling bloated.

- Having more energy.

Busy being a nursing student.

Hello everybody,  Firstly I want to apologies that I have not put a post up for you all in about a week due to the fact that I have just started University again.

You would not believe the workload I have: essay prep, group work, individual revision, planning for my placement in the hospital nearby and reading around topics..... I am one busy bee.  And my work seems to go on forever, those of you in University will understand where I am coming from if you do placement alongside your university.  I am very tired, and have come close to falling asleep in lectures lol, oopsies.

I cannot wait for my next placement as it is dealing with the heart which is a topic that best interests me in nursing.  A lot of you may not know that I had a few heart problems over the past few years and I was then able to have an operation last March which fixed everything, and now I feel better than ever.  The condition I had was called Supra ventricular Tachycardia.  This is a condition where the electronic impulses in my heart caused a problem, in easy terms you are only meant to have one electrical impulse, which helps the heart beat, instead I had two.  The problem with 2 was that if one beat faster than the other it would cause my heart to speed up and become abnormal, and become Tachycardic.  I could have dealt with this however my heart rate was very fast, your heart is only meant to be between 60-90 beats per min, mine on one occasion my heart was beating at 280, this was distressing for me, but I had it all fixed and now I feel so much better.  Because of this it has made me want to nurse patients in the same position with the same condition or worse.  This is why my next placement is more interesting to me and definitely appeals to my future.

Anyway that was a little look into my personal life LOL.

I hope you all do not mind, I will try to get a new post up in the next couple days with more information, and maybe a review on a beauty product or I may do a bought it and forgot it month.

Christmas present's VLOG

Christmas presents?

Hello everybody.

Hope you're all excited for the new year I know I am :-).
I saw a lot of you liked my post on the smashbox wonder vision palette I was bought for Christmas,  I was wondering if you would all be interested in a video or blog post on the other presents I was given on christmas day? There are only a few as I usually get more money,  however I thought with the small presents I can go into more depth.

Beauty product Haul!!!

Hello Ladies!  I thought I would do a bit of Christmas present shopping for myself today and all the products above are what I bought from my local drug store called Boots.  They are all at affordable prices, and I made plenty of savings and can't wait to use them all.  In all I spent £39.95 and saved a great total of £11.28 which is a absolute bargain for all of this.  Keep reading to find out what these are and the prices.

Above are all the products that I bought from Rimmel London at a bargain, Boots had a deal that you could buy 3 for the price of 2.  I just couldn't pass up the chance. The products I bought in order are the Rimmel Stay matte pressed powder which I have posted about before, I would definitely recommend that, I thought I would try two new products of theirs which were the ScandalEyes flex, and the Fix & prefect primer 5 in 1, I am so excited to use these especially the primer.  For these 3 I spent a total of £13.98 and the stay matte powder was free.

I love my bubble baths and haven't been able to have one for ages as I miss bubbles, Lol.  Anyway on my way to the till was this Soap& Glory calm one, calm all bubble bath, it smells gorgeous and is really relaxing, I couldn't help but use it today as soon as I got home. It was £6 but I think that was with a sale, however it is definitely worth a try.

These two makeup brushes I could not leave behind, these are the real techniques blush brush and eyeshadow blending brush.  There was a deal to buy one and get the other half price.  I have not tried these yet but I know that they won't fail to please me, these brushes are amazing and my collection is gradually building.  For these two I paid £13.98 which is an absolute bargain.

I love nail varnish and now that it's Christmas time and I can now wear my nail varnish I needed some remover.  I have not tried these yet however they are looking good.  I found it was a lot cheaper buying these cotton pads with the nail varnish remover already on them than buying them separately.  This pot of 20 cost me £2.10 which is a good price and they contain Vitamin B5.

 This was more a necessity than beauty, however I love this deodorant.  I have used this Nivea Invisible black & White deodorant for a while now and can't/won't use any other product.  They do exactly as they say on the tin and keep me dry and do not stain my clothes.  These were on a deal also for buy one get one free.  For these two large cans I paid £3.29, Bargain.

Samsung Galaxy S3 review.

 

Thought I would do a different blog post today as I now have a proper computer instead of my laptop which makes posting a lot easier as my laptop is a pain.... Technology eh?!

Anyway today I thought my blog post could be on technology and about my phone (my baby).  I will admit at first I was skeptical of using Samsung as I have used their phones in the past (years ago). and the batteries on their mobile phones never lasted long at all, and this was before touch screens so you can tell how far I am going back.
Anyway I had heard good reviews from friends and online so I thought why not it was top of the charts at the time and I wanted to go onto a contract.

When shopping for the best deals I would look around and not just at your phone provider network as they can charge more than what the offers are, in places like the Carphone warehouse which is where I bought mine.

From the picture you have probably guessed I have the white one I feel it looks clean and more sleek than the navy or red.  I always have a cover on mine for protection so it lasts longer and a screen protector.  I would advise these to everyone especially if you have a contract that lasts 2 years like mine.  This phone was and is amazing.  The battery lasts a lot longer than I thought, it lasts a full day with me but that does depend on how much you are using it and whether you are using the wifi or phone internet.  If you rarely use your phone it should last a good 2 days with no problems.
The touch screen on the phone is super sensitive and perfect. I also find the screen is a good size as it is bigger than an Iphone however it stops the print on the internet from being stupidly small. 

Most apps are available on this phone as well as Samsungs own app store which is perfect.

You can change your home screen and create folders so that you do not have multiple apps clogging up your phone screen and it's neat and tidy.
I find this phone perfect for business and leisure as it does everything you could want from a phone and more.

I know there is new Samsung Galaxy phones out but I would definitely recommend them all they are perfect and last for ages if looked after.... I will admit I have dropped mine multiple times and the screen has never broke which is sooo lucky and a god send to have.

The speaker system on the phone is really good and lets out a load of sound which can be heard from a good distance, however there is only one speaker on the back so be sure to face your phone face down to get the full amount of sound.

I have no problems with this phone and it was easy to set up when I bought it which was back in February so I have had this phone for a good 10 months and have had no software problems or touch screen issues at all.

 so I would give this phone overall

Youtube video suggestions.

Hey everybody I was laying in bed and thinking I have never had time to do a youtube video in a while but I have some time off this afternoon and wondered who wanted to see one....?

I need suggestions though as I am out. I don't know whether to do a ramble/favourites and more video with maybe a few questions.  I have no idea.

I may show some of my favourite yankee candles and wipes.  But need advise people I am so stuck...

Maybe if you follow me on instagram and twitter you may have questions or seen a photo of makeup you want to see more of. I don't know!

Creams I would recommend for your body and face,

As all of you know there are just way too many creams available out there in stores for us too choose from.  However I have narrowed down some creams that I have used over the years that I found work amazingly depending on how you want your skin to look and what skin type you have.


Gok Wan as some of you may know works wonders for women who want perfect fashion and perfect skin.  If some of you watched his TV show you would have seen him try creams on women for a couple weeks to discover what works best and how you do not have to have high end products to have perfect skin.
over the past couple years family have bought me Gok's body wash sets as shown below.
They work wonders trust me I have tried 3 kinds and they are thick and creamy and do not feel watery, which I love.  They moisturise well and the skin feels soft instantly.  My favourite includes a yellow cream in colour which includes glitter which makes the skin look flawless for those nights out.

Another cream in which you probably saw me post about last week includes the simple face cream.
Since using this my skin has been beautifully smooth and helps with those unwanted breakouts that can become dry and crack if not treated and looked after properly.
I can guarantee results with Simple's creams and they are at amazing affordable prices, and usually have special deals where you can buy 3 for 2.






If you have tried Gok wan or fancy trying his creams, this Dove rich moisurising cream definitely has the same consistency and works just as well.  I have used this cream since I was little to help with dry cracked skin, rashes and eczema. This is along with affordable skin products which I would recommend.






Vaseline intensive care is probably a cream that everyone has used and would agree that it is amazing.
However now there is a range that they offer for both men and women, and creams that help with many types of skin however if you want a general cream for the skin I would recommend the original.
For those of you women who love a tan but a gradual and natural looking one, may I suggest the Vaseline intensive cream with tanning lotion, my mum tried this and she had a lovely natural tan within a couple weeks with no blotches or smearing.




But for those of you mainly focused on skin irritated skin such has spots, eczema or rashes.  I would definitely suggest Sudocrem which was voted the best cream last year for the face, it can also be used for babies it is that friendly to the skin.
This clears my blemishes and has also helped in the embarrassing moments of sunburn.





All these products are affordable and available in nearly all shops, and I have personally used all of these above.  I hope I have helped you to choose the right cream for yourselves.  If you want to request more advise tips please comment below or tweet, and Facebook me. My Drawings

Here are a few of my drawings that I have done this year.  There have been many more over the years but I have only been getting back into my drawing and wanted to share them with you.

The first picture is my favourite at the moment, I struggle to draw people and this was my first attempt and I feel extremely happy, I may not be Picasso but I am getting back into this.

A lot of these drawings are from books I have read or children's programmes as a lot of friends and my boyfriends family have children so these are for them.

The skull was for a friends tattoo and my boyfriend and I love Despicable me so I thought I would just make a little collage of the characters.
As you can see below a lot of my drawings are in pencil as I feel I get a better effect with shading and it looks raw where as with colour I find my drawings do not look as good.

Melt My Art

New name of my sisters art page and mine for our new canvas art which involved melting crayons on a canvas.

This was only a quick mock up as I won't be drawing we will be creating unique and home made pieces of art.

Christmas is coming.....

I am so excited for Christmas are all of you?

This is my favourite time of year and I am so excited to put up my Christmas tree and decorations if you want to see the photos of my living room after it is decorated then comment below and tweet me.

And my favourite advert of all time is the Coca Cola lorry :p if you haven't seen it you have to it's the best, and is definitely what starts Christmas.

I also have my Yankee Christmas candles ready.  They smell gorgeous.

Simple face products.

You have probably seen me do a post in October on my favorite's for the month which included the Simple face wipes.

I have always used simple face wipes as I find they are so kind to my skin and do an amazing job removing all my makeup.  I do not just use the wipes to remove makeup I also use them to just cleanse my face in the morning and evening to feel refreshed.  I probably get through 2 packs a month and get them at a fantastic deal from Boots which usually have a 3 for 2 deal and I can get them so cheap.

A new product I have started using from them is their moisturizer which you apply to a soft cotton wool pad and gentle rub across the face in circles and work your way out and up. I have been using it for the past couple days now in the morning and evening, it feels amazing and my skin has never felt so soft.

I am looking to maybe try a few other products from the Simple line but I am not sure what else to try my next item may be the toner.

These products are so affordable and the best out there as far as I am concerned and would definitely recommend these to everyone.

Completed essay!!! YAY

Just a funny start to my blog hehe! I love kitty cats... and this one is so FLUFFY.

Well I have finished my essay and just need to hand it in, thank goodness, I have to say it was the hardest essay on health promotion EVER! But I actually feel I have done well from what everyone has said.

However now I have completed it I can now dedicate some more time to my blog and MAYBE some YouTube videos depending on how you all feel about it???

I would love to know all your suggestions on what you would like me to review, discuss or just generally do a video about..... I may do a Yankee Candle YouTube video.

House of Night series.

This series has been going on for a number of years.... I have been reading these books since I was about 15 which was 4 years ago and I am still reading them now as I have still not found out what happens in the end. 

The book is mainly about teenagers who are marked on the forehead and then have to leave their homes and live at the school of The house of night.  

The book follows many characters who are adjusting to school at night, and learning the ways of vampyres and the history... Below is a list of the books I would definitely recommend them, they keep me hooked and are great for those of you who like fantasy and romance.

It’s within the school’s walls that the heart of the action takes place as Zoey meets new friends, finds love, comes to terms with how her life will be different now and begins to realize her awesome new powers.

House of Night is a thrillingly engaging book series that follows 16-year-old Zoey Redbird, who gets “Marked” by a vampyre tracker and begins to undergo the “Change” into an actual vampyre. She has to leave her family in Tulsa and move into the House of Night, a boarding school for other fledglings like her.
